Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

He has plenty of experience in weird town settings where people are from different literatures, realms and lands. Even if he doesn't remember it all the time.
He will, however, flux in.

How do you plan to expand their CR?
By having him talk to other people, meet new people, help people out.

What will your character do for work?

He'll either work at the library or maybe the newspaper if Jen allows it.
